Size & Delivery

Please check the size chart beside the photos to choose your size. Each piece is hand-painted to order, so delivery takes 15 to 20 days.

Style Tips

Pink is soft enough to sit under almost anything. Cream, ivory, beige, white and gold tissue sarees let the painting lead, while bottle green, mustard and deep maroon give a festive contrast. Plain silk, tissue, chanderi and kota drapes suit it best. Keep jewellery light in gold or pearl so the motifs stay the focus. Explore more hand painted blouses, pink blouses and silk blouses.

Care

The first clean must be a dry clean. It sets the colours so they stay fast and don't bleed later. As pure silk is delicate and the artwork is hand-painted, we recommend dry cleaning after that too. Never iron directly on the painted area; iron on low heat from the reverse side and store in a muslin cover.

FAQs

Are the motifs printed or hand-painted?

Hand-painted. An artist paints the cows and lotuses directly onto the silk. It is not a print or a transfer.

What do the cow and lotus motifs mean?

Both come from Pichwai art of Nathdwara. The cow represents abundance and is closely tied to Krishna, while the lotus stands for purity.

Is this blouse padded?

No, this blouse is non-padded. It is lined, with a front closure.

How long does delivery take?

Each piece is hand-painted to order, so delivery takes 15 to 20 days.

Which sarees go with a pink hand-painted blouse?

Cream, ivory, beige, white and gold tissue sarees let the painting lead, while bottle green, mustard and deep maroon give a festive contrast.

Fabric & care

Handcrafted details need a little extra care to stay beautiful.

  • Dry clean first. Always dry clean the first time to protect the fabric, colour and embroidery.
  • Hand wash gently, only if needed. After the first dry clean, wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak, scrub or wring.
  • Dry in shade. Direct sunlight can fade the colour.
  • Iron inside out on low heat, with a thin cotton cloth over embroidered or painted areas. Never iron directly on mirrors.
  • Store in a muslin or cotton cover, not plastic, so the fabric can breathe.
