The Yellow Naksh Printed Sleeveless Blouse is a cotton saree blouse in a yellow Naksh print, cut sleeveless with a broad U neck and a front zip. It is light, easy to wear and built for daytime use — office saree days, house functions, daytime pujas and everyday drapes in warm weather.
Why yellow works harder than you think
Yellow is one of the most underused blouse colours. It reads as fresh rather than festive, which makes it wearable on an ordinary working day in a way that red or bottle green never is. It also sits well against most of the saree palettes people actually own — indigo, black, grey, white, olive and rust all lift against a yellow blouse instead of fighting it.
The front zip
A front zip is a practical choice rather than a decorative one. It closes cleanly without hooks that work loose through the day, it is quicker to get into on your own, and it lies flatter under a saree than a row of hooks does. For a blouse you will wear regularly rather than occasionally, that matters more than it sounds.
Why cotton
Pure cotton breathes in a way silk and blended fabrics do not, which is what makes this a genuine everyday blouse rather than an occasion piece. It is also the easiest fabric in our range to maintain — no special handling, no dry-clean-every-time.
Styling it
Yellow works two ways. Against a contrast saree — indigo, black, grey, olive, rust or maroon — it becomes the point of interest in the drape. Against a tonal saree in mustard, cream or a soft print, it reads quieter and more coordinated. Plain cotton, kota, mul, linen, chanderi and handloom drapes all suit it. Oxidised silver jewellery suits the everyday character of a printed cotton blouse better than gold.

Care
The first clean must be a dry clean. This sets the colours so they stay fast and do not bleed later — skipping it is the most common reason a printed blouse loses colour.
After that first dry clean you can wash it at home: cold water, mild detergent, washed separately. Use a laundry bag on a gentle cycle if machine washing. No bleach or harsh chemicals. Do not wring — squeeze gently. Dry flat in shade, away from direct sunlight, and iron on low heat from the reverse side.
Frequently asked questions
What fabric is this blouse made of?
Cotton, in a yellow Naksh print.
How does this blouse close?
It has a front zip. A zip closes cleanly, is quicker to get into on your own, and lies flatter under a saree than a row of hooks.
Is cotton a good choice for a saree blouse?
For daytime wear and warm weather, yes. Cotton breathes far better than silk or blended fabrics, and it is the easiest of our fabrics to maintain.
Which sarees go with a yellow blouse?
Yellow works two ways. Against contrast drapes — indigo, black, grey, olive, rust or maroon — it becomes the point of interest. Against mustard, cream or soft prints it reads quieter and more coordinated.
Can I wear this blouse to work?
Yes. It is cotton, sleeveless, printed rather than embellished, and closes with a zip — which makes it one of the more practical blouses in our range for regular wear rather than occasions.
What is a broad U neck?
A broad U neck curves wide and deep across the front rather than cutting a narrow V or a straight line. It opens up the collarbone and suits both necklaces and a bare neckline.
What is the neck depth?
Front 9.5 inches and back 10.5 inches.
Is it padded and lined?
Yes, it is padded and fully lined, so no separate camisole is needed.
Do I have to dry clean this blouse?
The first clean must be a dry clean — it sets the colours so they stay fast. After that you can wash it at home in cold water with a mild detergent, washed separately.
Is custom sizing available for this blouse?
No. This design is available only in the sizes listed. We offer custom sizing on our hand-painted, chikankari and Kutch work blouses — not on this one. Please check the size chart before ordering.
Is there any margin in the blouse?
Yes. Each blouse is stitched to the size you order and carries a margin, so there is room if you ever need a small adjustment.
How long does delivery take?
We dispatch in 3–4 working days and deliver in 5–7 working days across India.
Fabric & care
Handcrafted details need a little extra care to stay beautiful.
- Dry clean first. Always dry clean the first time to protect the fabric, colour and embroidery.
- Hand wash gently, only if needed. After the first dry clean, wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak, scrub or wring.
- Dry in shade. Direct sunlight can fade the colour.
- Iron inside out on low heat, with a thin cotton cloth over embroidered or painted areas. Never iron directly on mirrors.
- Store in a muslin or cotton cover, not plastic, so the fabric can breathe.
Will my blouse look exactly like the photos?
Yes. Our photos are taken in natural daylight and match the piece closely. Slight colour differences can occur because of screen settings.
How do I choose the right size?
Check the size chart beside the product images. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one, as a blouse is easier to take in than to let out. Custom sizing is also available.
Can the blouse be customised?
Yes. We can make it to your measurements and design preferences. Price and delivery time may vary, as the piece is made specially for you. Customised pieces cannot be returned or exchanged, so please share your measurements carefully.
Is there margin for alterations?
Yes. Our blouses have around 2 inches of margin, so the size can be let out if needed.
How can I tell if a blouse is hand embroidered?
Look at the reverse side. Hand embroidery shows small knots and slight irregularities, while machine work looks uniform. Each product's details state whether the piece is hand-worked or machine-embroidered.
Why do handcrafted blouses cost more?
Each handcrafted piece takes days of skilled artisan work and is made individually, not mass-produced.
