A red pure silk saree blouse with a Shrinathji figure painted directly onto the fabric by an artist. Shrinathji is the child form of Krishna worshipped at Nathdwara in Rajasthan, and red is the colour of celebration, which makes this a natural choice for poojas, Janmashtami, Annakut and festival mornings.

  • Fabric: Pure silk, 60gm
  • Work: Hand-painted Shrinathji design
  • Colour: Red
  • Neckline: High back
  • Sleeves: Elbow sleeves, 10.5 inches
  • Padding & lining: Non-padded, lined
  • Closure: Front closure
  • Blouse length: 14.5 inches
  • Neck depth: Front 8.5 inches, back 4 inches

Size & Delivery

Available in S to 2XL, and we can also make it in your custom size. Please check the size chart beside the photos. Each blouse carries a margin of about 2 inches for a small adjustment later. In-stock sizes are dispatched in 3–4 working days and delivered across India in 5–7 days. Out-of-stock and custom sizes are hand-painted to order and take around 15 days.

Style Tips

Red is the classic pooja colour, so cream, ivory, off-white and gold tissue sarees are the natural pairing. For festivals, try mustard, bottle green or deep maroon silks. Plain tissue, chanderi and kota drapes let the painting lead. Keep jewellery in gold or temple work to match the devotional theme. Explore more hand painted blouses, red blouses and silk blouses.

Care

The first clean must be a dry clean. It sets the colours so they stay fast and don't bleed later, which matters on a deep red. As pure silk is delicate and the artwork is hand-painted, we recommend dry cleaning after that too. Never iron directly on the painted area; iron on low heat from the reverse side and store in a muslin cover.

FAQs

Who is Shrinathji?

Shrinathji is a form of Lord Krishna as a seven-year-old child, worshipped at the temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The figure is a common subject in Pichwai art.

Is the design printed or hand-painted?

Hand-painted. An artist paints the figure directly onto the pure silk. It is not a print or a transfer.

Is this blouse padded?

No, this blouse is non-padded. It is lined, with a front closure.

Can I get this blouse in my size?

Yes. It comes in S to 2XL and we can also make it in your custom size. Custom sizes take around 15 days.

Which sarees go with a red Shrinathji blouse?

Cream, ivory, off-white and gold tissue sarees suit poojas, while mustard, bottle green and deep maroon silks work for festivals.

Fabric & care

Handcrafted details need a little extra care to stay beautiful.

  • Dry clean first. Always dry clean the first time to protect the fabric, colour and embroidery.
  • Hand wash gently, only if needed. After the first dry clean, wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak, scrub or wring.
  • Dry in shade. Direct sunlight can fade the colour.
  • Iron inside out on low heat, with a thin cotton cloth over embroidered or painted areas. Never iron directly on mirrors.
  • Store in a muslin or cotton cover, not plastic, so the fabric can breathe.
